
"Through Russian cities. Saint Petersburg" - open lesson

On February 28, 2025, Professor Karmyshakova Zyinat Satyndievna held an open lesson at the Kyrgyz Institute of Languages and Culture for 1st year students of group LK 1-24 on the topic: “Through Russian cities. Saint Petersburg". The professor told the students about the historical city of Saint Petersburg.
Saint Petersburg is a Russian port city on the Baltic Sea coast, which served as the capital of the Russian Empire for two centuries. It was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great, to whom the famous monument "The Bronze Horseman" was erected. The city is rightfully considered the cultural center of the country. Tourists enjoy the Mariinsky Theater, where opera and ballet performances are held, and the State Russian Museum with a collection of Russian art, which includes both Orthodox icons and works by the abstract artist Vasily Kandinsky.
The students took an active part in the lesson, there were role-playing games, expressive reading and songs.
