A self-governing body that makes student life brighter, brings initiatives together and represents students’ interests.

About the senate

The KILC Student Senate was founded to make student life brighter and more varied and to bring students together around shared interests. Initiative and self-belief, leadership and the ability to work in a team — these qualities, fundamental for our students, are developed not only by study but also by the institute’s student community.

The student council is the body of student self-government and the organiser of all academic events for students.

Areas of work

What the council does

  • cooperation with other institutions and organisations of the student community;
  • developing student initiatives aimed at improving study and extracurricular life;
  • active student involvement in organisational and technical work: exhibitions, conferences, academic seminars;
  • organising students’ leisure and recreation;
  • representing students’ interests at all levels of management;
  • taking part in the distribution of the scholarship fund and in providing financial support to students in need;
  • filming and editing short videos;
  • collecting and distributing information;
  • planning, organising, preparing and running cultural events;
  • musical, choreographic, vocal and instrumental accompaniment of events;
  • organising and running sports events and taking part in inter-university competitions;
  • annual cultural and wellness hikes and showcase performances.
